About Alia by Dotdigital: Alia is a popup and engagement platform built for Shopify and e-commerce brands, helping merchants grow their email and SMS lists and drive more revenue from their existing traffic. We were bootstrapped to $10M+ ARR and 4,000+ merchant customers before being acquired by Dotdigital, a global marketing automation leader. We're now scaling as part of a bigger platform, with the speed and hustle of a startup team.
About the Role
We're looking for an Agency BDR to build and grow relationships with the Shopify agency ecosystem, the agencies that build, design, and advise merchant storefronts every day. This role is equal parts relationship-building and pipeline generation. You'll be doing agency outbound to open new relationships and taking initial agency calls when they come in, handling both outbound and inbound demos yourself. You'll be on the phone with agency partners regularly, not just sending occasional check-in emails. If you're hungry to build a network of agencies and turn it into referral revenue, this is your seat.
What You'll Do
Identify, recruit, and onboard new agency partners across the Shopify ecosystem
Run agency outbound to open new relationships and take initial calls from inbound agency interest, handling both outbound and inbound demos
Own and grow relationships with existing agency partners through regular calls and check-ins
Drive agency-sourced and agency-influenced pipeline in coordination with Sales
Run partner enablement, keeping agencies up to speed on Alia's product, positioning, and referral process
Track agency partner performance and report on pipeline contribution
Represent Alia at agency events, calls, and meetings, building genuine relationships that convert to revenue
Hit and exceed quota tied to agency-sourced pipeline and revenue
Opportunity to travel to see agency partners in person at dinners, industry conferences, and events to help build pipeline
About You
0-2 years of experience in partnerships, agency relations, sales, account management, or a related field
Hungry, relationship-driven, and comfortable being on the phone with agency partners regularly
Strong communication and organizational skills, able to manage multiple agency relationships at once
Interest in the Shopify agency ecosystem, e-commerce, or SaaS is a plus
Self-starter who can build a network of agencies from scratch and keep it warm
Based in or willing to relocate to New York City
Compensation & Growth
$100,000 on-target earnings ($60K base + $40K commission at plan)
Uncapped commission: exceed quota and there's no ceiling on what you can earn
Direct exposure to Alia's agency partner ecosystem and leadership team
