We are an AIM-listed marketing automation SaaS business with a global team of over 500 employees and annual revenues of approximately £80 million. Following the acquisition of a US-based business (£5m revenue, 20 employees) and ongoing growth of the existing business, we are entering a critical phase of financial integration and transformation.
About the Role
We are seeking a capable and delivery-focused Interim Group Finance Transformation Leader to lead the financial integration of a recently acquired US-based entity and support the standardisation of financial processes, systems, and controls across the group. This role is critical to a successful transition into IFRS-compliant accounting, integration of tax and compliance workflows, and establishing sustainable, scalable finance processes.
This is a hybrid role based in our London Bridge office (minimum 3 days per week), reporting directly to the Chief Financial Officer.
Key Responsibilities:
Acquisition Integration
- Lead the integration of the US-based acquisition into group finance structures.
- Align accounting policies, internal controls, and reporting standards across regions.
- Consolidate financial data into group-level reporting.
IFRS Transition
- Manage the group’s transition from cash-based to IFRS-compliant accounting and reporting.
- Implement IFRS-aligned consolidation and month-end procedures.
Tax Compliance Onboarding
- Integrate the acquired entity into group tax compliance frameworks (corporation, state, sales, payroll tax).
- Align with both group policies and jurisdictional regulations.
Financial Process & Systems Standardisation
- Harmonise systems and workflows across Sage 200, Sage 50, Xero, QuickBooks, Shopify, Stripe, Rippling, and others.
- Standardise budgeting, forecasting, reporting, and month-end close processes.
Governance & Controls
- Establish consistent, group-wide financial controls and compliance standards.
- Ensure audit-readiness and document all critical processes and procedures.
Execution of Due Diligence Recommendations
- Address post-acquisition due diligence actions across financial, operational, and compliance areas.
- Build or execute delivery plans based on identified risks and priorities.
Continuous Improvement
- Identify and propose improvements based on integration experience.
- Recommend scalable enhancements to finance operations across the group.
Stakeholder Engagement & Handover
- Work closely with the CFO and Group Finance Director to align transformation efforts with company strategy.
- Collaborate with global finance teams to ensure adoption and sustainability of new systems.
- Deliver a robust, well-documented handover to the permanent finance team, including training and transition support.
About You
- ACA / ACCA / CIMA qualified, with 8–12 years of finance experience, including 4–7 years in senior roles.
- Proven experience with IFRS, post-acquisition finance integration, and finance transformation projects.
- Comfortable in a high-growth SaaS or tech environment.
- Strong understanding of core finance systems such as Sage, Xero, QuickBooks, and tools like Rippling, Stripe, Shopify.
- Exceptional project delivery and stakeholder engagement skills.
- Able to work with autonomy, drive change, and lead cross-functional collaboration.
- Detail-oriented, structured, and outcome-driven.
