About the Role
The HR Generalist will be reporting to the UK based People Success (HR) Manager and working within an international team of twelve including Talent Acquisition. Day to day the role will be very varied across a range of administrative and operational activity including employee lifecycle processes, speaking directly to employees and managers to support them, managing our employee relations and related employee queries, and working across a broad range of strategic projects. We might also ask you to support across the HR team at busy periods for example with Business Partnering or Talent Acquisition delivery. We’re a busy, hands-on team with a supportive employee culture.
Role and responsibilities:
- On-boarding of new hires including contract creation
- Off-boarding leavers including exit interviews
- Answering HR queries through our ticketing system Zendesk
- Payroll queries and change requests
- Internal interviews
- Day-to-day administration of our HRIS Hibob
- Administration of our benefits
- Building relationships with any level of employee at Dotdigital so you are a go-to person for advice and queries where appropriate.
- Employee relations case management; scoping, investigating, advising and running PIP/investigation/disciplinary/dismissal meetings.
- Escalating ER cases and tasks upwards where further consultation or advice is needed to continue with the case/task yourself or handover.
- Global project input and delivery with the rest of the HR department
- Support employees and Managers with day to day enquiries
- Keep up to date with employment legislation changes and ensure implementation across the business including employment contracts and handbooks
- Ensure all activity is in line with the Dotdigital diversity, equity and inclusion policies
- Promote company culture and values
About You
You’ll be responsible for day-to-day HR administration tasks, managing Employee Relations cases across our global business, working alongside others in the team to share the case load, and delivering key strategic generalist projects.
You’ll be an HR professional with 2+ years of HR experience who might be looking to develop your role to gain technology industry and/or international experience. This is a hybrid role based at our Cape Town office 2 days per week.
Experience:
- 2 years+ of relevant generalist work experience in HR
- International experience is desirable
- Employee relations including CCMA experience is essential
- Experienced with handling HR support queries
- Contract creation and employee onboarding administration
- Effective interpersonal, teamwork and organisational skills
