- Help to develop the Platform Team’s vision and strategy and uphold these within the Platform Teams.
- Communicate and evangelize the Platform Team’s work across the business so that developers, users, and business stakeholders understand and excited about the why.
- Encourage strong collaboration between the Platform and Product Engineering Teams, and sometimes work with the Product Engineering Team, to solve our biggest problems faster and ensure we help our Dotdigital scale to meet our customers’ needs.
- Proactively work with stakeholders (developers and engineering, customers, leadership and internal stakeholders) to support them in resolving any roadblocks to ensure results are delivered.
- Define and measure outcome-based objectives and success metrics to ensure that the Platform Team is working towards our product strategy.
- Ensure high-quality backlog management across the Platform Team within an Agile framework, ensuring the team’s focus on and deliver maximum business value quickly.
- Develop a strong understanding of the commercial side of the business and ensure platform decisions can contribute to our positioning and success in the market and revenue.
- Develop a deep understanding of our platform to support productive relationships with vendors, including real-time data analytics and warehouse providers, to ensure the successful integration of these services within our platform while optimizing resources and processes.
About You
- You’re a seasoned Technical Product Manager with solid and demonstratable experience managing end-to-end platform development lifecycles from scoping to delivery and post-production support and iteration following an Agile methodology.
- You have a strong understanding of platform technologies, APIs, and SaaS business models.
- You have a good understanding of modern architectures, real-time data processing, and data analytics especially from the perspective of how they can bring value to a customer experience and data platform.
- You can quickly understand technical or complex problems and solve them to ensure successful customer outcomes
- You make things happen. You’re hands on when it comes to platform implementation and delivery. You do everything you can to make sure our platforms are successful.
- You know how to build strong and effective relationship across all disciplines, covering developers, data scientists and analysts, customers, senior stakeholders, commercial teams and partners
- You have excellent written and verbal skills
- You’re super organised and can demonstrate the ability to lead cross-functional teams to execute on initiatives and drive projects forward and communicate clearly when there are roadblocks
- You’ve got strong ownership skills, get things done and you don’t always stick to a “by the book” definition of a product manager.
