Data Protection Analyst
Dotdigital is seeking an eager and flexible Data Protection Analyst to join our Information Security & Privacy team.
Reporting to our Information Security Director, this is a role that will work with all departments across all of Dotdigital’s global locations. You will oversee all aspects of the group data protection compliance program and help guide various teams on the data protection aspect of their work.

In this role, you will have the opportunity to lead on business relationships and data protection projects and to develop your skill set rapidly.
Responsibilities
- Manage & maintain procedures and processes for the company’s privacy compliance program.
- Process and implement privacy impact assessments.
- Work with internal teams in advising on privacy related matters relating to product development.
- Collaborate with legal function on vendor due diligence and assessments.
- Maintain, review and audit all records of processing.
- Review, manage and respond to data subject access requests.
- Maintain, update and enforce the organisation's data protection policies.
- Work within all departments ensuring data is stored and handled correctly.
- Roll out training to all staff raising awareness of Data Protection and fostering a data privacy culture throughout the company.
- Respond to prospect and client assessments / audit questionnaires.
- Respond to internal and external ad hoc privacy queries.
- Research and update the business on proposed changes to global privacy laws and prepare guidance on business impacts.
- Work closely with Information Security Director and DPO.
Experience and skills
- Minimum 2 years experience working in data protection compliance or a related field
- An understanding of common technical and organisational security measures
- The desire to develop deeper understanding of Information Security concepts
- Experience of working with Privacy Management Tools such as OneTrust
- Sound knowledge of data management principles in design, development, and build
- Expertise in European data protection laws and practices including an in-depth understanding of GDPR, and any new privacy regulations
- Experience within a legal, compliance, audit and/or risk function department
- Strong project management skills
- Experience of working in a the Technology/SaaS sector would be desirable
- Comfortable taking part in internal and external audits
- Ability to work well under pressure and manage sensitive and confidential information
- Great interpersonal skills and ability to work well both independently and as part of a team
- Strong communication skills
