dotdigital is looking for a Website Manager, reporting to the Head of Online Marketing and working as part of the wider Global Marketing team.

This is an exciting opportunity to manage dotdigital’s portfolio of websites including the development and management of website architecture, content management systems, user journeys, user experience, personalization, quality assurance, and search engine optimization.

This role is perfect for an experienced website manager ready to lead a great design and development team in a fast-paced and high-volume environment. This role is central to wide-ranging website redesign, optimization, and maintenance projects.

To be successful in this role, you should be commercially minded with a firm understanding of B2B demand generation. You can turn analytics and insight into action using a data-first approach to guide your work. You demonstrate strong stakeholder and project management skills, with an exceptional ability to collate and condense feedback into clear and concise action plans. You’re also comfortable owning the full website user journey in collaboration with the wider marketing team. You can confidently implement ideas to optimize traffic, improve engagement, and increase conversation rates.


Key Responsibilities

  • In coordination with the Head of Online Marketing, build a holistic website & SEO strategy against clearly defined KPIs to maximize traffic, improve conversion rates, and enable marketing activations
  • Own the website roadmap across web architecture, deployment and optimization. Drive project management across the marketing, design, development, and content teams.
  • Develop clear workflows and approval systems to streamline updates and activations
  • Maintain and streamline the wide-ranging website program and master technologies including our CMS (Wordpress and Umbraco), and lead new developments to streamline and improve editor workflows and overall user journeys
  • Test, monitor and troubleshoot website issues and spearhead changes to ensure optimal website performance
  • Own on-site SEO and enable off-site SEO. Manage search engine optimization efforts, including keyword research, page optimization, and technical SEO updates. Partner with the content team to enable and activate SEO strategy driving organic.
  • Collaborate with the wider Online Team to optimize paid traffic conversions and results.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders across the company to ensure the website exemplifies and clearly delivers our brand message, engages the right accounts, drives organic traffic, aligns to our integrated campaign framework, and delivers a superior user experience
  • Use a data-driven approach to enhance performance and optimize user experience
  • Produce regular site performance, online traffic, conversion and campaign reports to be shared with the Head of Online Marketing, and wider marketing team. Complete with analysis and recommendations to stakeholders.


Experience & Skills

  • 5-10 years digital experience working with websites and CMS
  • Extensive experience with SEO strategy (including multilingual SEO) and familiarity with SEO tools like Search Console, Moz, Ahrefs, and/or SEMRush
  • B2B marketing and Lead-Gen focused experience
  • Experience building websites in WordPress or with advanced HTML, CSS and JavaScript
  • CMS management experience and ideally have been through re-platforming projects
  • Proven track record of building and maintaining multilingual websites, manageing modern web stacks (codeless development implementations is a plus)
  • Strong skills and familiarity with analytics tools like Google Analytics, Google Tag Manager, Google Optimize and Google Data Studio
  • Experience with digital marketing and MarTech including marketing automation (dotdigital Engagement Cloud), CRM (Microsoft Dynamics 365), and CMS (WordPress and Umbraco)
  • Experience with project management tools (Asana, Trello, Jira)
  • Moderate familiarity with UI/UX design tools (Adobe XD)
  • Experience with personalization platforms (Webeo) is a plus
  • Data driven with strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Team management skills (including remote team management)
