General Manager EMEA

We are interviewing for an experienced General Manager to take responsibility for P&L and related teams at dotdigital, reporting directly to our Chief Executive Officer.

In support of our strategic growth plans, this position will be an opportunity for an experienced individual to apply best practise knowledge and process, providing support for department leaders and a single line of communication to our Leadership Team.

This position will oversee daily operations of the following EMEA business units and functions:

  • EMEA Direct Sales
  • EMEA Partnerships Management
  • EMEA Business Development
  • EMEA Customer Success
  • EMEA Professional Services (Training, Managed Services, Consultancy, Creative Studio and Onboarding)

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide direct management of key functional managers and executives in your reporting business units
  • Ensure the creation and implementation of a strategy designed to grow the business unit (new business, upsell and retention)
  • Manage, lead and mentor sales leaders to provide strong sales leadership to maximize growth opportunities (new business, upsell and retention)
  • Be the figurehead for customer complaints and resolutions
  • Coordinate the development of key performance goals for functions and direct reports
  • Maintain budgets and optimise overheads in region
  • Oversee recruitment and training of new employees
  • Ensure the development of tactical programs to pursue targeted goals and objectives
  • Ensure overall delivery and quality of offerings to EMEA customers
  • Communicate strategy and results to EMEA employees
  • Report key results to the CEO and Leadership team
  • Engage with the Leadership Team in broader organizational strategic planning
  • Continually optimise and implement strategy for Sales and Customer Success processes
  • Provide solutions to issues (e.g. profit decline, employee conflict, loss of business to competitors etc)


  • Proven track record selling enterprise and midmarket software solutions, SaaS solutions and services to large and midsize organizations
  • Experience leading large-scale (50+ employees), high-performing teams (growth of over 50% p.a.) in a SaaS environment, including Account Management Teams
  • Ability to build successful, long-term working relationships with fellow peers on the Leadership Team
  • Experience in the marketing automation sector is desirable
